Who is responsible

Enquiries
When you send an enquiry, it is stored on our server: your name, e-mail address, message, the trip details you chose, the page and language, plus a one-way code made from your IP address to limit misuse. Gatsio Safariz sees it in its login and uses it only to answer you and to plan your safari. If you write to us by WhatsApp or e-mail instead, WhatsApp and your e-mail provider handle the message under their own terms.
Requests to join a shared safari
If you ask to join a listed departure, your request goes to our server: name, e-mail, optional WhatsApp number, number of seats and your note, plus a one-way code made from your IP address to limit misuse. We use it to answer you and to organise that departure. A fixed deletion period has not been set yet; you can ask us to delete your request at any time.
Hosting, images and reviews
The website runs on Cloudflare, which processes connection data such as your IP address to deliver and protect it. Photos and fonts are served from this website. When Google reviews are shown, our server fetches them from Google, and reviewer photos load directly from Google, so Google receives your IP address.
Cookies and storage
No tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. Fonts are served from this website. Your shortlist is kept in your browser’s local storage and your planner answers in its session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. Neither is sent to us unless you send it in a message.
Sharing
To book permits, lodges and transport, Gatsio Safariz passes on what is needed to its partners once you ask for a booking.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you and have it corrected or deleted. Write to info@gatsioafricasafaris.com. Which data protection laws apply, for example Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, Kenya’s Data Protection Act or Tanzania’s Personal Data Protection Act, is being reviewed with Gatsio Safariz.
